Medendi Bodywork is a LGBTQ-friendly & educated practice.
The primary focus of her practice is assessment. She takes time when meeting a client for the first time to assess medical history, discuss primary complaints and do a physical assessment looking for postural issues, muscular imbalances, body position (due to work/life) and restricted movements that may be contributing to specific problems like reoccurring pain, injuries (sports and otherwise) and compensation patterns. Focus will extend beyond the therapy sessions to look at work and home environments, aerobic and strengthening routines and other possible contributors to ongoing issues. Modifications, referrals and stretches may be recommended to assist in the healing process. Every appointment will take time to check in on complaints to track progress and make adjustments to treatment plans.
All treatment can be applied through clothing, techniques used and areas of the body to be treated will be discussed in advance with consent and sessions can be altered, stopped or discussed by the client at any time for any reason. Open communication is always highly encouraged and supported.
Treatment Techniques
Her treatment techniques utilize a variety of different manual therapies and massage modalities: Myofascial Release & Massage techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques, Cross Fiber Friction, Trigger Point Therapy, and many others depending on the needs of the client, the techniques they best respond to and the symptoms they are experiencing.
